Birgit Eichinger Roter Veltliner glorreich 2025, 0,75 L

Roter Veltliner (yes, it is a white wine and no, it is not related to Grüner Veltliner), which went largely unrecognised for many years, is now developing into a trendy niche product with cult potential. This remarkable and increasingly popular grape variety is particularly common in Kamptal, Wagram and the western Weinviertel.

Birgit’s Roter Veltliner glorreich was known as Ried Stangl until the 2023 vintage. It is characterised by fine fruit and a bell-like aroma. A wine that immediately captivates and wins over wine lovers. A fragrant basket of fruit on the nose, with yellow pears, gooseberries, ringed limes and a hint of exotic notes. Dry and remarkably juicy on the palate, with lasting presence. Plenty of fruit and, despite its youth, already very well balanced. It lingers on the finish and leaves you wanting another glass. Birgit has a natural feel for this wine and demonstrates just how expressive Roter Veltliner can be.

Perfect with oysters, strongly flavoured fish dishes or crustaceans. We also enjoy this wine on its own in good company.
