Château de Braude AOC Haut Medoc 2020, 0,75 L

Château de Braude is one of a small number of Haut Médoc wineries that stand out for their genuine personality. The winery is run by the same family that oversees Château Mongravey in Margaux, and this signature is unmistakable: clear lines, precise vinification and a style that brings together structure and elegance.

The 2020 vintage appears dark and dense in the glass. The nose shows blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe cherry, supported by fine roasted aromas, light tobacco notes and a touch of herbal spice. The gravel, clay and limestone soils give the wine depth and tension. On the palate, the 2020 is compact, juicy and very harmonious. Polished tannins, fresh acidity, and a beautifully integrated use of wood create a balanced overall impression.

This Haut Médoc pairs wonderfully with fillet of beef, lam,b or savoury braised dishes, but it also performs well on its own in a large glass.
