Domäne Wachau Riesling Ried Singerriedel Smaragd 2024, 0,75 l

The famous‘Singerriedel’ vineyard in Spitz in the Wachau consists of steep terraces and is characterised by the Danube and the interplay between warm days and cool nights. Here, the grapes are harvested very selectively, exclusively by hand, and only the very best quality is then transferred to stainless steel tanks for fermentation.

A still youthful Riesling from the excellent 2024 vintage – its best days are certainly yet to come, although it already impresses with extraordinary elegance and great richness.

On the nose, juicy peaches with delicate herbal notes. On the palate, it is juicy, gripping and almost vibrant. The acidity plays off the fully ripe fruit, and they harmonise as if made for one another. A fairly long, delicately mineral finish testifies to the wine’s greatness.

Pairs wonderfully with fish and seafood, or simply on its own when you fancy a great Austrian Riesling!
