Gut Böheim 5+4 FREE Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben Carnuntum DAC 2025

Grüner Veltliner and Carnuntum may not always be the first pairing that comes to mind. However, this typical grape variety has long been cultivated in this region and is now also recognised as a DAC. The 2025 vintage delivers excellent examples, producing fantastic wines with slightly lower alcohol and greater structure.

This Veltliner Alte Reben is an exclusive late bottling. It was matured for five months in stainless steel tanks and is now showing at its best. Grown on loess and sandy loam soils, this wine outperforms many varietal examples from other well-known Veltliner regions. In particular, the price-performance ratio is exceptional, as wines of comparable quality are often significantly more expensive elsewhere.

Light greenish yellow in colour, with a concentrated and clear Veltliner nose featuring subtle exotic notes. Dry, dense and very juicy on the palate, with precise fruit and impressive length. It has good, ripe volume, is already well-balanced, offers a pleasant mouthfeel, and shows promising ageing potential. This reflects the character expected from a Veltliner.

Ideal with baked dishes, risotto and traditional home cooking, it is a versatile everyday companion. Keeping a few bottles on hand is always a good choice.
