Silvia Heinrich terra o. 2020

This is one of the greatest red wines from central Burgenland with cult status from winemaker Silvia Heinrich. Not surprisingly, it is also the flagship wine of the winery which has garnered appreciation even in China.

A special wine deserves a special name. The godfather of this red wine cuvée is the former Austrian president, Dr. Heinz Fischer. The wine name is derived from Latin - "terra oppidorum" means Burgenland.

This balanced, powerful red wine cuvée is an elegant combination of regional and international grape varietals: Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are combined in perfect harmony. After 24 months in French barriques, it now shows its best side: aromas of dark berries, blackberries and a light touch of tobacco. Juicy and full-bodied on the palate, large with a long, silky finish. With well-integrated tannins and harmonious, modern notes of wood.

The "terra o" is ready to drink now, and will only improve over the next few years. But why resist this fantastic vintage any longer?
