Château Jean Faux "Les Sources" 2020 Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge Organic , 0,75 L

This wine is a wonderful example of how outstanding Bordeaux doesn't have to be expensive. The 2016 vintage received 91 points in Falstaff but we believe the 2020 vintage is even better.

In the glass, it exhibits the classic Bordeaux red colour, medium-dense with a delicate brightening at the rim. The nose is intense, brimming with red fruit, cassis, leather, and a hint of coffee.

On the palate, the quality of the vintage, noted as a very good one for St. Julien, is evident. The wine is ripe and full-bodied with a lovely woody flavour. The tannins are round and mature, and the acidity is well-balanced, not too low despite the hot and dry vintage. It finishes wonderfully fruity and elegant, making it an accessible and easy-to-drink Bordeaux.

This wine offers exceptional value for the money and is cultivated according to biodynamic principles, adding to its appeal and quality.
