Description
Even with his ‘classic Zweigelt’, top winemaker Andi Kollwentz demonstrates why he is regarded as one of Austria’s finest winemakers.
The Zweigelt from Leitakalk comes mainly from the Neusatz vineyard and is aged for 9 months in large and small oak barrels. Thanks to its elegant, full-bodied character, this wine is quite approachable even in its youth. Delicate sour cherry aromas, with notes of dark cherries and subtle toasted notes, characterise this dry red wine. A sophisticated, typical example of the variety that is also a delight to drink on a day-to-day basis.
It pairs very well with barbecued dishes, as well as pork and lamb.
