Uwe Schiefer transforms nearly 50-year-old vines from Lutzmannsburg in Mittelburgenland into a magnificent red wine that demonstrates just how impressive this variety can be in Blaufränkischland. Everything comes together here: the warm, balanced vintage, the meticulous craftsmanship of the winemaker, the extended ageing in 500-litre wooden barrels, and the great potential of the grape variety.
A Vinaria award-winning wine, and it is no coincidence that the renowned international wine critic James Suckling awarded it 95 out of 100 points. AlaCarte even gave it an impressive 98 points. Dark and lively, with subtle wood nuances. Juicy and harmonious, with a warm, chocolatey finish. Elegant spice, full-bodied and well defined. Impressive to the very last drop, with a long-lasting finish.
