Auron, the bull with its golden cap, adorns the label of this bold, multi-faceted wine. It symbolises the wine and features Josef Scharl's trademark (the cap) on its head. A flagship wine and figurehead of the winery.

Hand-harvested Sauvignon Blanc from the steep steep Schemming vineyard has been allowed to mature for 18 months in used barrique barrels. The wood lends the wine volume and a characteristic flavour without overpowering it. Quite the opposite, in fact. On the nose, there's yellow fruit, herbs and a hint of wood. A juicy, silky impression on the palate with delicate roasted flavours. An elegant, balanced glide into the finish leaving a lemony minerality in the aftertaste. Yeah, baby! This is rock 'n' roll on the tongue!

Ready to drink now and can be stored for another 10 years. A fine demonstration of how complex and intricate this wine can develop in Styria.
