S'Arai is one of the most powerful and characterful wines from the Pala winery. The vines that produce this cuvée are over 80 years old and yield very little, which is a key reason for the depth and concentration that define this wine. The interplay of old vines, the mineral-rich soils of Sardinia and the ever-present sea breeze creates a complexity that is unmistakable in the glass.

The colour is a deep, almost opaque dark red. On the nose, a dense aromatic core of red fruits, hints of leather, herbal spice and a touch of rum pot unfolds. This intense expression continues on the palate with power, maturity and excellent balance. Balsamic notes enhance the ripe fruit, while the strong, tightly woven tannins provide structure and depth.

The acidity is clear and lively, adding tension and carrying the long, fruit-focused finish. The wine shows a distinctive profile found only in Sardinia, powerful, authentic and with impressive ageing potential.

S'Arai clearly benefits from air or from spending a good hour in the decanter, which makes it even more complex. It is a wine that fascinates already and will continue to grow in refinement for many years.
