Charles and Blossom Fury Riesling 2025 is the next exciting chapter in Riesling from Charles Smith – the man who, with Kung Fu Girl Riesling, has already shown just how exciting Riesling from Washington can be. Blossom Fury deliberately takes a drier, more straightforward approach: fresh, energetic and wonderfully uncomplicated, without ever becoming mundane.

The grapes come from the Evergreen Vineyard in the Columbia Valley, high above the Columbia River. The rather cool terroir and the soils, characterised by basalt, gravel and silt, lend the wine its distinctive freshness and mineral tension.

In the glass, the Riesling is wonderfully clear and invigorating. Lime and white peach meet a hint of mandarin, cool stone fruit and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is dry, light-footed and precise, with crisp acidity and a subtle mineral, almost salty, hint. It is precisely this blend of fruit, vibrancy and drinkability that really makes you look forward to the next glass.

It pairs particularly well with sushi and sashimi, spicy Thai cuisine, grilled fish or poultry. But even on its own on the terrace, Blossom Fury is just the right Riesling when you fancy something fresh, dry and a little different.
